Description
The setting of Gladiator AD is a mixture of historical accuracy and fictional embellishment. The time period is set during the rise of the Roman Empire, somewhere between 200 BC and 400 AD. Some of the characters are loosely based around historical figures to ground elements of realism. The Roman Coliseum is the epitome of success for gladiators throughout the world. Gladiators from all over the known world come to Rome once a year to fight for the chance to battle in the Roman Coliseum before the Emperor’s himself. Rome comes alive with competition, as the local districts fill with foreigners, trained soldiers, slaves, criminals, and prisoners of war vying for the number one slot.
Gladiator AD is a tactical fighter set in the ancient civilization of Rome. Players battle through highly detailed 3D arenas using a dynamic control scheme only possible on the Wii.
