MySims Agents Review
As a little kid you play many games. You probably played cops and robbers, cowboys and indians, and oh yeah, secret agents. If you are feeling reminiscent or you are just a first timer playing secret agents, now you can play it on the Wii in MySims Agents.
MySims Agents starts the player out as a kid just trying to solve some very small mysteries in his neighborhood. He works out of a pizza shop, and just does the job for fun until he solves a mystery that goes against a mysterious evil laughing man named Morcubus. The game's plot after that has your agent solving mysteries that eventually leads to a huge plot involving the evil Morcubus.
You start the game with some Sims gameplay. You can dress your agent the way you want to. You can change his clothes, hair, shoes, etc.. As you progress throughout the game, finishing missions will unlock even more clothes and options to have your sim really styling. Once your character is created, the fun begins. You will go around the neighborhood "pointing and clicking" at all kinds of things to find clues, gather evidence, and catch the bad guys.
MySims Agents will be liked by the younger Wii audience. It is a point-and-click game that will get younger players involved and enjoying the gameplay. The title also did a good job of bringing some humor into the dialogue, so it never gets too serious of a game for the younger generation. There are also other small things that will keep the younger players involved in the game even if they aren't playing through the story. There are many items and people to interact with throughout your neighborhood to keep the kids laughing and having fun.
As for the good and bad of MySims, there weren't many bad aspects surprisingly. The gameplay has a steady pacing to it and will not leave you or your kids bored at all. The controls work extremely well with the point-and-click method that the developers incorporated with the game. The bad aspects of MySims were very minute, but it wasn't a perfect game. Sometimes the hints were not always clear if you were confused on what to do, and a lot of the times the missions were extremely simple.
Overall, MySims Agents is a good kid's game for the Nintendo Wii. It has everything you want. Nice cartoony graphics, funny dialogue, and an interesting plot will have you wanting more MySims games in the future.
Gameplay: 8.0
The
point-and-click method works extremely well with this detective/mystery game,
and will have players wanting more.
Graphics: 7.5
The cartoony
graphics make for a fun atmosphere to be in, but there is always room for
improvement. Right?
Sound: 6.5
Although, not
the best music in the world, it does work well with the quirky atmosphere of
MySims Agents
Difficulty: Easy
Concept: 7.5
Although, this type of game has been done before, MySims Agents really gets the
player looking for clues and does a good job of involving the player in the
game.
Overall: 7.5
The MySims
series has definitely released a good game in MySims Agents, and it will be well
received by the Wii's younger audience.
